Understanding the Human Condition and the Role of God and Satan

Does Satan play a role in making humans human? In this article, we will explore the theological perspectives and biblical teachings surrounding the relationship between humans, God, and Satan.

Did Satan Make Us Human?

No, Satan did not make us human. Instead, Satan separated mankind from the sweet fellowship of God by causing them to sin against Him. This occurred in the garden of Eden when he deceived Eve, leading her to eat from the forbidden tree of knowledge of good and evil.

This act was a grave disobedience to God's command, and as a result, humanity lost the fellowship of God. Sinning against God and losing His fellowship does not define what it means to be human. Real humans enjoy God's fellowship and obey His commands.

Regaining Fellowship with God

Thankfully, God provided a way for humanity to regain His fellowship. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to make this possible. Jesus, known as the Lamb of God, took the sins of mankind upon Himself and paid the penalty by dying on the cross of Calvary. All who believe in Him are given the right to become God's children, as stated in John 1:12.

The Role of God and Satan

The living God, Yahshua Messiah or Jesus Christ, has the power to give a soul to the body that is conceived in a woman's womb and also provides each individual with the breadth of life to live on this earth.

Satan, on the other hand, does not have this power. He can only destroy without permission or knowledge. He is unable to construct anything of value.

The Origin of Humans

Humans were created by God in His own image. Adam and Eve made their own decisions, and Satan merely interfered, using his typical methods to sow discord and deception. However, as God is just, He remains blameless in this situation.

Conclusion and Call to Action

Understanding the roles of God and Satan in human history is crucial for personal and communal well-being. By recognizing and confessing our sins to God and accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we can be restored to the fellowship of God and truly become human in the fullest sense.
