Is God Here to Fix Us?

As a Christian, I believe that God's primary goal is to change the world and provide a way for humanity to be reconciled with Him. This essay delves into the ways in which God has previously and continues to address the issues of this world, and what we as individuals can do to contribute to positive change. Let us explore the supernatural process of redemption and God's continuing presence in our lives.

Amplifying the Past u2013 God's Actions in History

From the catastrophic flood of the biblical account to the introduction of His son, Jesus Christ, God's interventions have been numerous and significant. The great flood serves as a stark testament to God's zeal for purity and justice; when humanity's sin reached its zenith, God intervened to cleanse the world (Genesis 6:5-7).

In promising a rainbow as a sign of His covenant with humanity, God not only brought hope to an otherwise hopeless situation but also set forth a clear indication that He would never again flood the earth (Genesis 9:13-17). This pivot towards mercy set the stage for future displays of divine compassion and love.

Restoration Through Jesus Christ

God's ultimate answer to humanity's sin did not come in the form of punishment but in salvation. Jesus Christ, conceived without a human father, was sent as a deity-human hybrid to offer mankind a path to redemption (Matthew 1:18). The world, both in terms of global initiatives and local communities, is seeing tangible positive changes thanks to God's law and the actions of His followers. Despite the incessant flow of negative news, God's work of redemptive efforts continues to thrive around the globe. The world is far from perfect, but it is also not as dire as some portray it to be. The struggles and pains of this world ultimately stem from human free will and the prevalence of sin, rather than God's abandonment or inability to help. God's patience and persistence in guiding humanity towards a better tomorrow are evident in the ongoing positive changes.
